The birds would not have any protection from the elements in winter months. It would not work well in colder climates. Is this something that can be used year round? We have the 4 seasons and worry about Winter. Cats wouldnt be able to get though an opening that small. The wire is 2 x 2 inch squares and that is the largest opening. Where the panels meet there is a small opening less then an 2 inches. I am concerned with a cat being able to get in the coop through the gaps at the top and sides.
